Washer & Dryer Rental Agreement

1. What you're renting

This agreement is between Carolina Laundry Rentals ("we," "us," the "Owner") and the person signing below (the "Renter," "you"). We're renting you one washer and one dryer (the "Equipment"). The Equipment stays our property at all times — renting it does not make you the owner and does not build toward owning it.

2. Rent & term

Rent is $60 per month for the set, due on the same day each month (your delivery date). You'll choose one of two plans:

• 6-Month Plan — you rent for at least 6 months. Delivery, install, and repairs are included, and nothing is due at delivery. After 6 months it continues month to month.
• No-Contract Plan — $160 is due to start (a $100 delivery fee plus your first month's $60 rent). Rent is $60/month after that, and you can cancel with 14 days' notice.

3. Referral discount

For every new renter you refer who signs up, we lower your monthly rent by $10, for as long as you both rent. Discounts stack — six active referrals bring your rent to $0.

4. Deposit

No security deposit is required.

5. Delivery, install & repairs

We deliver the Equipment, install it, and make sure it runs before we leave. If it ever stops working through normal use, we'll repair or replace it at no charge — just let us know promptly. Please don't try to repair or modify it yourself.

6. Your responsibilities

• Use the Equipment normally and keep it clean and in good working condition.
• Provide proper hookups and utilities (water, drain, and the correct electrical outlet).
• Don't move the Equipment to another address, sell it, sublease it, or let anyone else take it without our okay.
• Tell us promptly if it needs service, and let us in — with reasonable notice — to service or pick it up.
• You're responsible for damage beyond normal wear, and for loss or theft while it's in your care. If a unit is damaged beyond repair, lost, or stolen, you agree to pay its replacement value of $350 per unit ($700 for the full set).

7. If rent is late

There's no late fee. But if your rent is more than 10 days past due, we may pick up and reclaim the Equipment after letting you know. You'll still owe any unpaid rent up to that point.

8. Ending the rental

• 6-Month Plan: after your 6-month term, you can end the rental anytime by giving us notice so we can schedule pickup.
• No-Contract Plan: you can cancel anytime with 14 days' notice.
• When the rental ends, we pick the Equipment up — no hauling or disposal fees for you. It should be in the same condition as delivered, aside from normal wear.

9. Ownership

The Equipment is and remains our property. You'll return it (we pick it up) when the rental ends or if we reclaim it for non-payment.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. This is the entire agreement between us; any changes must be agreed in writing (a text or email counts).
